My name is Anastasia Drakou, and I am half Greek and half Japanese. I am completing my Master’s in Data Science at the National Center for Scientific Research Demokritos and the University of Peloponnese, where my thesis focuses on identifying Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) issues from news using Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques. I also work as a Data Scientist, applying machine learning models and data analysis techniques to uncover meaningful insights from complex datasets. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, with a specialization in Operations Research.

Outside of work, I love traveling, playing music, and going on bike trips and hikes, anything that lets me explore new places, connect with nature, and clear my mind!
