Anastasia Tezari Ph.D.
I studied Physics and completed my Ph.D. in Medical Physics at the University of Athens. Alongside my studies, I worked as a private tutor and as a researcher at the University of Athens on projects funded by the European Space Agency. Then, I decided to pursue my passion for science communication and worked at the Eugenides Foundation’s Science and Technology Center, where I designed and delivered educational programs for students and the public. I am currently working at Science Gateway, CERN’s new science education and outreach center, as a science educator. I develop innovative educational activities for diverse audiences and train CERN personnel to facilitate workshops themselves.
My involvement with science communication has brought me into contact with people of all ages and backgrounds and has made me deeply aware of how important it is for girls and women to have role models in STEM. Through my participation in the Organization, I want to help strengthen the presence and voice of women in science and technology in Greece. My goal is to share my experiences and knowledge, to support and inspire other women, and to contribute to building a network of mutual support and growth for all of us.
I love traveling, discovering new cooking and pastry recipes, and listening to music. My involvement with science communication never really stops, so in my free time I enjoy writing articles, constantly learning new things, and evolving both personally and professionally.
