These software tools will help your literature library spark joy!

Find articles related to your study easily and never miss an update in your field again!

Have you ever felt drowning in the vast information available in your field? Are the update notifications every time a new publication is out too many? We have a solution – in fact, many solutions- for you!

Try the next software tools and keep up to date only with the things that are truly important and relevant to you:

  1. Connected papers. If you like maps, nodes, and lines of relativity, this is your go-to. You choose an article as a starting point, and the software builds a world around it. Most of the papers coming up are exciting for the field, have many citations, and trigger scientific discussions.
  2. Open knowledge maps. Similar to connected papers, but in this case, your starting point is a group of keywords instead of an article, and let the algorithmic magic take you to fields important to your study that you may not even have thought of before.
  3. Google Scholar. We have all experienced how Google suggestions are almost like someone is reading our minds. Google Scholar is no different and will give you article recommendations that your colleagues will be discussing in your next meetings. So, be ready!
  4. Feedly. Do you enjoy the upvotes and downvotes? Then Feedly is made for you. Τhe trick here is that while there is a limited free version of it, this is the only platform that will come at some cost if you wish to enjoy its full capacity.
  5. ResearchRabbit. This tool will let you save papers to your collection, and with every new article added, it will update its algorithm to improve its recommendations.
  6. ResearchGate. The most mysterious of them all will trick you into its social aspect while providing article suggestions upon your recent readings and scrollings while you use it. If you are interested in seeing what your professors recommend and also who their friends are, this is your platform.

Κeep in mind that hot and trending articles these days are the ones that the authors share the most on their social media platforms, so study wisely!
